I’ve recently become an admirer of Errolson Hugh and his sartorial proclivities. A luminary within the “tech-wear” world, Errolson is known primarily for his line ACRONYM® and has gained further eminence within the sneaker community due to his innovative approach to sneaker design with his brand’s collaborations with NIKE. This year is no different.

Errolson’s take on NIKE’s Air VaporMax, The Air VaporMax Moc 2 x ACRONYM, sees the silhouette being released in three monochromatic colorways, each with an upper reminiscent of “dazzle camo” accented by pops of color found on the runner’s heel counter.

As striking as the shoe is, what I truly enjoyed about this particular release is the rollout and promotional campaign. Being a fan of spaghetti westerns and dystopian futures, I loved the melding of the two worlds and the notion of trailblazing that the visual evokes. As an added bonus John Mayer, an avid supporter, and collector of ACRONYM® is thrown into the mix!

The “Johnny’s Icy Passage” colorway (inspired by John Mayer) has already hit shelves, but the remaining two colorways, “The Illusional ‘Ja” and “Thirsty Bandit” will release on April 26 and May 15, respectively.
